Chapter 4: How They See You

When you look in the mirror, what do you see? How do you feel when you see the person in the mirror? For some, it may depend on the day, time, week, month etc. Others may see themselves the same way whether positive or negative, no matter the circumstance. However, there are also some who may see themselves based on the perception of another --- This could be good or bad.

How we see ourselves is not always identical to how others see us. The perception that others have about us is dependent on various things such as: the types of mistakes we have made in the past, our lifestyles, our physical appearance or simply their perception of themselves. Let me repeat the third of the various things again: simply their perception of themselves. That one should really stick out and make you think. In the cases where another has negative or outrageous perceptions about you may be directly related to how they feel about themselves. You know that saying "It's not you, It's me", well this would be a perfect fit.

You really have to figure out how you see yourself, understand your morals and ethics, be joyful in who you are and move along. The people who want to be in your circle will be a plus, those who don't will simply miss out on having you in their presence. Come to grips with the fact that you can't control how they see you. You can't even control what they think of you. Be secure in who you are and the rest will fall in place.

Don't allow others who view you in a negative light to destroy your confidence, abilities and potential to do great things. YOU ARE NOT YOUR MISTAKES. Again, YOU ARE NOT YOUR MISTAKES.

When another sees you in a positive light, it can naturally help to boost your confidence, but you shouldn't sit in that and use it as a crutch. They could see you in a positive light today and hate your guts tomorrow. In general, controlling how another sees you can be time consuming. So time consuming that you forget about how you feel about yourself and become hostage in their thoughts about you.

If you are truly being the best person you can be, then you will attract like minded individuals that see you for who you really are. Keep living your life. Keep being the great person that you are and the rest will fall into place. If you don't feel that you are a great person, then seek to improve. Do it for you, not for them.
